View Full Version : Vickers-Crossley 1925 Armoured Car
Johnny_Cannuck 03-25-2003, 07:20 PM I Built this in about a week using Mya 4.5. I'm a 19yr old digital animation student and this is my second modeling project. I'm still texturing it and I'll be sure to post the finished stills in a day or two. Any feedback would be welcomed!!!

hey thats cool dude!! nice details @ the front of the vehicle
i cant really judge wether the details are like the original one cos i dont know it that good, but it looks good to me :)
keep it up and texture it
ps. the only things that "bother" me are the ladder-like shapes @ the front of the vehicle. i dont think they should be rounded off, but then again i dont know the vehicle at all
keep it up dude

Does anyone know what would be the best way to texture the main body; I imagine a UV map is aboult the only way as no projection would really work but I'm just curious to see if anyone has any other methods they think might work.

what kind of texture do you think of? camouflage or just a plain color? a simple way is to make renderings from left / front / top and then paint a map in an image program which is then projected by a simple flat mapping. i have no experience with maya, though

I'm aboult half done the texturing now, I'll post another update tonight when I'm all done.
Again I'm sorry for the compressed image quality...
