View Full Version : Brazil RS - Noise Problem

Hi,
I'm using Brazil for a long time. I was always using the CSG server for the ground surface.
For my new project I'm using a poly object for the ground surface but in the final render result it gets full with noise (as you can see in the attached image).

I tried to play with # of sub-div and some other render parameters.
Any idea?

Thanks a lot

If you are using GI/skylight etc, it seems that the problem is your sample rates. Try increasing the sampling rates.

Also "area lights" produce a lot of artifacts of this type in shadows. If you have an area light that produces these shadows try increasing the sample rate of the light, reducing the error down to almost 0% and the estimate interval. Though I can't say it's going to eliminate the problem it will make the shadows look much better.

Go to the luma server tab. Up the sample rates. If that doesn't work choose a higher overall sample rate > 0.

Hi,
Thanks a lot for both of you.
The problem was indeed the luma srv sample rate.
Actually I did change it before posting this thread but I guess not enough.
I started to see changes only when I got to really high values.

Thanks a lot!
