Title: Space oil platform
Name: Gjorgi Jakimovski
Country: Macedonia
Software: Photoshop

Recently I was invited to participate in creating special catalog on theme "Peak Oil". It wasn't easy to respond on this challenge because "Peak Oil" is hard subject for art creation. As an economist, I'm perfectly aware about close and mutual connection between industrial development and growth of population, from one hand; and problems connected with limited oil resources, from the other hand. My story retold through this digital image was that "Oil Companies" wouldn't stop to explore to find new sources of oil. If it is necessary, they will continue with space research (I named my image "Space oil platform").
Comments are most welcome. Thanks.

If I understand you right, your idea is to show an oil rig on a distant planet or moon. I'll base my comments on this assumption.

Did you build your model yourself? If so, the model is decent. However, you need to work on your texturing abilities. The planet's surface really needs work. It's obviously tiled, and it tiles badly.

How do you feel about this artwork?

Thank you for your opinion.

My idea was to create image in "Monti Pyton" style with mottled background even inappropriately presented view of distant planet. It's obviously that I miss the theme.

Concerning the feelings about my artwork, now I feel bad.
