Hi everybody,

i'm new to shake. I come from a After Effects background and I'm looking for a detailed view of the imported footage like in AE. Do i have to guess the frame rate, field order and aspect ratio of given footage in shake?

Open it up in quicktime and do a get info. Shake was originally made for doing film, so quicktime support was just added for stuff like loading avid reference files or outputting reference files.
