A few questions:

1. does wings support saving to the network? I can't seem to do it, am I doing somehting wrong?

2. Wings saves my file with the .wings exstentsion, what is the .wings_bup exstesion?

3. Why does the ortho mode look so weird in sub-d preview mode? (lots of distorion and seethru's)

1) I don't know, never tried to save anything in network ;)
2) It's backup file created when you save changes I think.
3)Such things happen to me quite often, not only in ortho views, I blame my radeon 8500 LE for it ;) It especially hates virtual mirror :(

it happens with nvidia cards too
its some problem with the z-buffer im guessing

as for saving across a network
have you tryed mapping the network sharing folder to your system?
it will show up in my computer like its another HD once you do
that might allow it to save across a network
