One is a sata harddrive, the other is a sata motherboard. it'll work.

I don't care how fast the drive is, I can't see paying more then a dollar a gig... Then again I don't do much video editing. 7200rpm is fine for me.

Raptors are VERY overrated harddrives and 36GB? are you using this for a scratch disk?

Most modern 7200rpm SATA 2.0 drives have overall better performance than the first gen Raptors...

but remember, the 36gb raptors DID receive a firmware update that the 74GBs had, etc. so, their performance is much better than the earlier revisions.
however, a 250gb single platter Seagate drive with 16mb cache will offer very good performance vs. these drives and more capacity to boot.
