Really good work on the texture. The expression on the baby look a little off to me. The skin look great. Very good work.

very nice!
It seems to me, hands of the child just a little big. Also can make to it a few hair on the head. The rest of the composition is excellent. Good work

Very Nice Job, I especially like the netsuke. My parents collected netsukes, so its really nice to see someone actually modelled one. The Baby could use some work. the skin looks like plastic. Don't know if you were aiming at it. but the baby looks like it is scared of the netsuke. Maybe you could try and give the baby a playfull/naughty expression.
Anyway great work.

thanks to all:)
2edcorusa:you maybe right:)
2dnk: i`ve got my eyes on your arts, man:)
2Koen86: that`s so-called named netsuke. it made by real japanese master in 19 or even 18 century. and i try to give much surprise, wonder emotion. not playful expression.:)
2jitendra: thanks, fellow:)

I love this work, which is why I am making a small critique - perhaps just personal preference, of course. I think the baby's eyes are opened a little too wide. The expression of surprise conveys a feeling of intelligence that seems a little too old for a child this age. Otherwise... well 5* from me.

the baby's hand looks very realistic, but the expression has a doll like quality. what modeling techniques did you use?
Main issue is the face of the baby shows more facial movement than any baby can muster. :)
