A Polynesian isle stylized in the 50's tiki trend. I aimed for a look that reminded me of black light artwork. Originally a finalist in the 2006 Vue 3D Environment Competition, this version has since been enhanced with Photoshop (the competition required no post work). The landscape is modeled and rendered in Vue. Tiki hut and canoe modeled in Lightwave. Totem, crab, and some plants are purchased models. Feel free to leave feedback, thanks.

i like the lighting and the style

i think there needs to be alot of fog on the horizon, with it being the ocean and everything, and to kind of reduce the sharp contrast of the water against the sky

Reminds me of Monkey Island. I love the look. The only thing is that it looks very sharp.

hey damn gud work... one critic though. the foreground leaves seem artificial... maybe its because of the lighting...i would have liked the foreground leaves to be bit darker here and there...so that it takes me into a world of uncertainity... i know it sounds weird but hope you understand wat i am sayng... thanx...
