Hello
This is a 2D and 3D image composite which I completed recently. This took longer than I would have liked due to lack of free time but I hope the composite went alright. Most of the postproduction on the 3D parts was color correction and brightness contrast to emphasize the bleak battlefield tone.

The background, planes and robots are 3D (3DS Max 4.2).
The character, sky, and the three zepplins on the top left are 2D.

feedback welcome.

I like it a lot!! It looks real great very nice job. Don't understand why no other people respond to this thread.

But I think it's a nice pic :bounce:

Looks great:)

Some minor crits:

The foreground wall and girl seem too brightly lit up in relation to the ground in the foreground and the background plate.

I'd say either make the girl darker and the wall in shadow or boost the contrast and lighting on the background, otherwise it looks like there is a spotlight on her a little (though without light on the ground), so that's what throws the eye. Actually if you added a spotlight it would be a pretty cool effect for the picture, her pose would be well suited to it.

I'd also maybe add maybe some foreground CG dirt flying somewhere or CG dust, just to further blend the 2D/3D effect. On the whole though fantastic, I'm nitpicking really.

Is it just me or is there something wrong with the angle of the wall. I almost get dizzy when I look at it. Great work though!

looks awsome, i love the look of the breasts and body in general but it would have kickes some SERIOUS ass if the face didn't look so much like manga.. \

thanks a lot for the feedback, it's all very useful to hear what you have to say.

Angelus26- interesting that you mentioned a spotlight/increased light in foreground because thats what I had in an earlier draft. I changed it because I figured if you are seeking cover in battle, you probably wouldn't want to run under a spotlight.

Raul-Reznek- manga? well that's a first. Mostly people call me a Campbell clone of sorts (after J. Scott Campbell whom I admit has a big influence over me) ;)

glad it was mostly positive feedback. Though this image has no hidden message or political agenda, I had feared a negative reception what with the war and all.

also thanks to Fred Gambino for giving me some vital input earlier.
