CGTalk - Trouble Saving Files

View Full Version : Trouble Saving Files

I have Adobe Photoshop CS2, and I can't save to JPG or Targa or many others, all I have for options are PSD, PNG, Photoshop Raw, Photoshop PDF, Tiff, Cineon, and Large Document Format. I'm thinking it has something to do with the plug-ins, but I'm not sure what. Can someone please give me an insight of how to fix this??

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I'm guessing your working with a 16 bit or 32 bit document. Some formats can't support 16/32 bit right now. If you change it to 8bit you can save it out as the other formats.

Except for what ever you are using this image for, png and psd can surfice for most what ever is needed. Enless its for the web, then 8bit will need to be used.

yah thanks for the advice. That's what it was. It was set at 16-bit so I put it to 8 and it works fine now.Thanks alot.
