I am going to start work on a mod based on an old favorite. Most of you should know what it is by the pic. Im shooting for the unreal engine unless the doom3 engine is ready to use in time. I still have a lot of optimizing to do and also some more models to build.

i still have that game somewhere around here, gj converting it to 3d :)

Bingo..yeah its Blaster Master, but my own take on it. I want to make the game in the unreal engine. So far so good :) thanks for the compliment :beer:

Great work on the buggy, really adore the ship, it's all so very nice. Good polycounts for the visual effects.

Looks shweet and quite excelent poylcount !
I think they'd fit perfectly into ut 2003 even the more so as vehicles are possible : driving that buggy would be yummy !

don't know if you guys know this, but go into your map directory of UT2003 and double click VehicleDemo.ut2 you will be taken to a map with a huge tank like vehicle. if you could put your blaster master mesh on it, that would be some fun.

That's the "Bulldog", the example vehicle. You can't simply swap meshes like a character though, because Karma has to be mapped to the mesh itself. You CAN reuse the vehicle code from the Bulldog with no difficulty, though.

Thanks for the great advice guys. I was doing some homework on this last week. I found a good amount of people are trying to do some type of vehicle in the unreal engine. Here is some code to enhance certain assets of the bulldog CODE (http://wiki.beyondunreal.com/wiki/Modifying_The_Bulldog)
I think I got a big task ahead, but hey ...I got some time on my hands :)

Here is a render of the guy "Jason" dont know how im gonna plan out the level cause he is small compared to the vehicle.
cant decide on hair or helmet...I just dont want it to seem like I'm taking shortcuts anywhere ;)

Quick update....textured the face and added some detail in some places. Took out the ear and optimized some faces... that got the poly count down to where I wanted be (4,650). Now I need to make a helmet and put bones in this joker :)
