Aww man.
8.0 sucks. Last thing we needed was another .0 release. I'm sticking with 7.3 for a while.

I felt the same way about 8.0 at first but now I like it.

No, subscribers can get early. After the official launch date you can get it at a store, their online store and via downloads.

Why, it's still just the same old gnome, kde, bluecurve crap I bet.
X needs some serious overhauling.

I would hope that it would include some significant updates like newer versions of Gnome and KDE (bundled into bluecurve)maybe the newly released XFree86.
I think just to name it 9.0 to keep up with the other distros would not be a good enough reason.

I liked Red Hat 8.0 alot. I'm gonna start partitioning my hard drive for 9.0!!

Ive been using Debian mostly so im not to familiar with using RedHat, how easy is it to upgrade from one version to the next?
Is the version tracking system that came with 8 capable of upgrading the distro like when you move from woody to sarge?
Anyways I prolly couldnt get used to RedHat because of RPM (i hates it!) and this commercial "cleverness" doesn't mend the view I have on RH.
PEACE!

Just use Apt/Synaptic then, or Konfigurator. Thats the great thing about linux, you don't have to use what they give you.
