View Full Version : pixel aspect ratio?!?!?!?!
i just finished modelling a low poly character and when i did all uvw stuff... and used texporter and painted the 2d mesh in ps, when i apply the image to the mesh.. the texture is shown with really big pixels.. like big bloks of color, the tut i read explained about the "pixel aspect ratio to be correct your bitmap must be a bit larger than your model?!?!?!?!? or something like that.. i don't get it. how do i increase the size of the image so that it shows in high res..
tnx..

Hey,
What res did you make your bitmap? I wouldn't go below 640x480 pixels, or if its for a game you might want it a little smaller, I like to use maps up around 2000+ so i can get in real close to my models. In texporter render out your uvw map around 800x600, give this a go. Or in ps resize your image to a higher ratio (using pixels) up aroun 800x600.
I'm noy quite sure whether your problems a photoshop one or a max one, your rendered image is pixelated and not just your viewport?
cheers
yup i tried to put the texporter in 1024x1024 and it's still like that.. i'll try what you said.. thanks...:D

Just a quick ponder here, is it blocky in the viewport, or in renders as well?
