View Full Version : Finished one (The Coast)
RiKToR 07-11-2007, 02:59 AM This is based on some moving plates... its fairly limited due to my limited access to motion plates of water being I live in a desert.
I will post the moving video when I post my reel

nice idea I like the far island point of interest in this composition, here are some issues I could see
lighting is a little bit wrong in some elements there's light where it shouldn't be and cluods have different light direction from some other elements, some edges are either blury or too sharp or maybe in some of the edges the lack of detail is not helping
aereal perspective need to work better and have more prescence on further elements as well as the sea surface itself, the integration es not good on the land and water, it needs way more detail.

I think you have a problem with the foreground perspective. It kinda looks like it's twisting towards the centre.

I would add the levels(values) chaos to the issues mentioned before. Also blending issues. It's a nice idea...i think that with proper depth it would look much better...

Thanks guys for the info, I have to say that though frustrated with the critiques I have gotten you guys are right there are some issues. I will rework this if I have the time, it was something I was trying to teach and do at the same time so a few things got overlooked in that process, Im not much of a multi tasker though in hindsight my little borther (student) learned alot about the process. Thanks guys and for me remeber keep the crits harsh and to the point this will be foot in the door demo reel and I want it to be the best.
And as a side note it was my first venture into video plates and set extensions essentially and I learned a heck of a lot about shake in the process. Ill see you when I get some more stuff.
