Title: Grave of Souls
Name: Hong Kuang
Country: China
Software: Photoshop
Time in this place
was frozen,
the only fluid
the blood,
the carmine path
of forgotten.
Here the servant
of death
ferries
the candles of souls
of the dead
of the forever.
---
Early Photoshop CS work, the image tells of a bloody way that leads to hell. This is the servant of Death who carries the lights that hold the souls of the dead. Poem by Zhang Jingna and me. I hope you like it.

Excellent work as always! I would have loved to see some more space at the right, but it's just a personal taste (I think that it would have balanced the composition better, but I may be wrong ;) )
Excellent use of colours and nice perspective!

hey there hong,
haven't seen any of your work around for a little while.
...and i like this a lot. i actually prefer these cinematic environment pieces of yours.
with the framing / dimensions i could disagree a bit though. but that's just me.
very nice work again.

Cool environment design! As a bit of nitpicking, I'd say it looks slightly flat in depth in it's very foreground, and water looks a bit dull, but it's just probably me, so nevermind. Fantastic piece!!

Thanks guys, appreciate your comments.
There's a little something I meant to say, I'm not sure if people noticed, most environmentals out there have a lot of dynamic and wide angle-ish panning, perhaps that's the reason mine seems a little boring. For me, probably with influence from the culture, I sometimes like that flat-ness of traditional chinese "gong ting" works. It's just a little on the perspective and dimension and not so obvious, but maybe it's not so easy to digest. Hehe thanks for looking.
