Hey guys, I'm working on a picture just for the sake of being bored.

Wrong attitudine to start with...There's no art for the "sake of being bored"...if you are bored then go outside, take a walk, play a game, watch a movie...stuff like that; art is made out of passion.

Now, when you start an image you should have a clear idea of what you want to show in it...:) Composition plays a pivotal role, along with the subject and message you wish to transmit...we can help you out with the technique and tell you how to achieve things, but other than that it's your image...

Get rid of the shadow on the wter from the cliffs on the right hand side.

Put some big mountains in the background

Add a castle...

yeah I agree with the guys above, so far it is just a boring image to look at, put something interesting, like a far city, some middleground castle or building or ruins, or maybe just natual stuff, weird rocks or alien mountains to the background, and yeah that shadow on the water does not look goo at all.
maybe start thinking about a concept, a focal point of interest just throw some lines and you will come up with something
