View Full Version : Realtime Global Illumination

Sorry, I don't think this is exactly the right place for this kind of post, but I didn't find a specific section.

What I'm looking for is a 3d engine that simulates Global Illumination in real time (not lightmap or baked textures) in the way that I can navigate in realtime inside my architectural 3d model in a more realistic way.

I've made different researches on the net but what I found was only projects made by Faculties and Universities.

Anyone knows a concrete softwares that can I test on my scenes?

That looks mighty promising... especially the calculation times... I wonder if the render/game engine could be used succesfully in vizualisations?!

yes, fatasylab is one of those I found really interesting, the same thing for lightsprint, but all of those I found, I can't try them on my own projects.

Well all this technology and the speed of these real time - photo realistic engines are giving me the creeps... In 6, 7 years all viz studios will be bankrupt.

why bankrupt?
The CG world is constantly an update, GI in realtime will be simply an update like other has been.
