Hi!
I have some trouble with Mayas local axis.
I want to transfer a joints local axis orientation to a nurbscurve but without moving the curves worldspace position!!
Say you have done a control shape out of a nurbscurve and you want to orient constrain a bone to it. For this to work the local Axis of the two must be the same or else the bone will flip right?
so I want to "get" the local orientation of the joint over to the nurbscurve and by doing so I will hopefully be able to orient constrain the bone without any flipping!?
I have dabbled a bit with Mel and was convinced that I had found the answer in xform. but it stops working if I rotate the parent joint!!
So any ideas???
