Ok here goes.
Was planning to stay on the sideline this time. But who can resist something like this….

I have several ideas on the love topic. First I thought if robots could love each other….
They need to have sex to.

So who knows, maybe I end up in the animation department and being the first one on CGTALK to post an animation with good clean “screwing” . But for now I think I will try to make some nice 2d or 3d Illustration (hopefully something funny).

LOL!

So, it's not a question of who's on top.. The question is: "who will be spinning/rotating?"

So instead of asking "whats your sign?" do they ask things like "are you a 5/8?" ..."no, sorry 3/4"

Great sketch, has a lot of personality. I would personally love to see the whole thing a bit more connected instead of just two characters plopped on the page, but since its at this stage im assuming you are already 10 steps ahead of me. Can't wait to see more.

Man it is so good to see you all! These challenges are like great “reunions” lots of old friends and you get to know some new friends as well.

ChemicalSmile (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=286153) Hey Alex thank you so much. Love your Aliens by the way!

mdavid (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=158479) Good to see you buddy! I will definitely be needing all that time!!

MVDB (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=129702) Hi Michael.

Yes you have a point there… One or both will be getting pretty dizzy during the act of love …

Something may have to be changed about the construction…

Or maybe getting dizzy is half the fun!

Gunilla (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=78228) Hello Gunilla so glad to see your happy little feet!

Hmmm… Yes there are truly so many different nuts and bolts in the world so finding the “right one” surely isn’t easy.

Insomnian (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=286304) Thank you for your support Carlo!

makaron (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=129166) so nice to see you to Mona! I think they get little screws by the way. It is easy to get confused I know.

Ste7enL (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=287332) Hello Steven.

You are quite right my friend size dos matter!!

And also you are correct in thinking I am 10 steps ahead (even of myself). Working on 5-6 different concepts now.

Well I have been thinking about this concept a bit and if I should continue with it I think it belongs in the animation department. Making a red hot Robot sex scene would be interesting. But to do it would include a lot of explicit close-ups of moving mechanical parts.

Maybe I would get banned from cgtalk for life…

Anyway I got a bunch of other ideas I want to explore so I will let these two little screw-up’s rest for now.

Ha! Nice concept. Taking literally the phrase "screwing". Sexual lightbulbs....who'd've thunk?

I like the designs on the characters. They remind me of a piece done by André Kutscherauer:

Hey Ryan. Thanks man, I can see by your avatar that you to are a light bulb lover.

Great link this, and real nice rendering. Actually I have taken the idea from that little robot friend of the inventor in the “Donald Duck &co” comic book (witch still is pretty popular in Norway). Have seen this thing by Andre Kutscherauer some place before. now see clearly that it also have a sexual message. Looks like he is about to ram his thing in to that pour unsuspecting electrical outlet…. Funny by the way…. scherauer clearly must be the German word for “screwer”, what Kut may mean I don’t even want to think about!

But be that as it may brilliant and inspiring work.
Anyway moving on to next ideas....

Some character doodles for several of my coming concept ideas.
Plus some figures that just popped out while I was playing around with the pen.
It is fun just to start with an eye or a nose and just see what happens. :)

Wow Per, you've been busy. Excellent to see such a rush of drawings. That monster from the deep drawing is a lovely idea and your character sketches are amazing. It's a tough decision - the first idea with the robot love made me laugh, but I also like the illustration potential for the fishing scene

Kei-Acedera (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=177427) Hello friend, Thanks. Looking at your portfolio I definitely get the feeling we have the same “cartoon genes” you and I.:)

mdavid (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=158479) Hey Mark. Thanks! :)Yes this was fun. Haven’t hardly touched a pencil since I quit Eon. I had some quality time with my pen and paper a few evenings. That water monster is “Nøken” a slimy bastard living in freshwater (so the fairy tales say). He is clearly infatuated by the beautiful maiden. Could be fun if he had a tiny fishlike head to maybe…. We`ll see, got some more other ideas to. Gona have a go at politics and religion to now that I have covered love.

Micro26 (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=110789) Thank you so much Fotis.:)

Ok I still have 3-4 other ideas in my head (and staring on paper). So I will explore a few more concepts before I try to decide on finishing one.

I have covered Sex and love in my previous idea sketches. Now it is time for Religion.
This is the little sausages that ahs fount their great maker (sausage maker) and get on their hands and knees to worship him.

A rough sketch but I hope I get the idea across.

It's a beautiful idea Per. I never realised until now that sausages were so religious. Well I guess that's yet another thing I've learned from this challenge. So far these challenges have taught me so many new things. For example I've learned that moose eat moss and that trolls get their power from steam.

But seriously, it is a lovely funny idea and potentially a classic humorous image

Playmobil (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=4833) Hm… not only a question but maybe…. This is the reason for that old robot saying: Hop on, I’ll give you a spin baby!

ekah (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=4145) Tanks Anna! Good idea I`ll put in some sausages doing just that I think.

mdavid (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=158479) And tank you so very much dear Mark. Like always you are to kind. I’m also very pleased to be an educator of your mind!:wise:

Though I must point out that it is the Reindeer that eat moss (and can run in the air, carrying Christmas present). The moose (called Elg in our native tong) are big (have big flat horns) and live in the forest. Actually come to think of it I have a nice strange behaviour picture idea about Elg/Moose to. I read some where that about 200 years ago the Swedish king decided to start forming a new type of cavalry units, specialised in fighting in the dense forests of Sweden. Riding trained Moose in stead of horses! Though these creatures are much more suited for running around and living in the forest, and are larger than a horse (so they may easily carry a man).

However the plan failed after some years of testing, it turned out a moos will much rather attack a Swede trying to ride it than any enemy of the Sweden walking in the woods.

I can see many funny images in my head of pour cavalry men trying to ride these vicious animals.

Be very glad you do not have a Swedish king in charge of Australia. He would have your army riding around on kangaroos and wombats!:)

Went totally of track there. J sorry! Anyway I have good feelings about the sausage idea. Just don’t know if it is to fare fetched.

Guess I want to say something about religion and fanatics.

Gunilla (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=78228) Hello Gunilla, thank you for your support! The sacrifice idea is great! Maybe it could be something with ketchup to…:)

I have to think of this. Because if I do this motive it have to be an joke about silly forms of “god worshiping”. And I would like it to have sausages of different types swarming in to this pour sausagemakers dirty workplace.

Still think my best idea so far is the “sausage maker”. But I had this idea in my head about bad guys in fluffy bunny suits…
And today I had to sit around and wait as I was reinstalling my machine so these little doodles appeared on my desk.

Though I must point out that it is the Reindeer that eat mossNow that's why I'd consult you first before I ever ordered either a reindeer or a moose. Thank you for correcting me. I enjoy my lessons but have an appalling memory sometimes. I love your funny story about the trained moose though. And since you mention the possibility of Aussies riding wombats, I can point out that thousands of years ago Australia did have giant wombat-like creatures called diprotodons, which were like wombats except as big as hippos. Although my guess is that they would not have run fast enough to be much use in battle.

Now onto your new idea. That's another funny one. I like that too. If those guys were looking like that while riding big motorbikes down the highway or some other tough-guy thing then that would be delightfully strange
