Well, the real trick to this piece was the fact that I do not have a tablet. This was drawn and colored from scratch in Photoshop with only a mouse. It took me forever and was pretty much an experiment with what I could do forgoing the drawing/scanning stage.

Overall I'm happy with it although some details I wanted to have are lacking or non-existant.

Hmmm... about 6... 7 hours. That's without correcting for washroom and food breaks of course.

Your style looks very cool. Unfortunately, the face doesn't really fit in. :hmm: I'd rather make it lighter.
Armor looks great! :buttrock:

Yea, I just didn't trust myself to do a good face with only a mouse 0 so I took the easy way out and used a gradient layer with some subtle details to suggest some facial features. It lacks a lot of detail overall where when I draw, I tend to put so much uneccessary detail that I give no focal point :P

but the face doesnt fit indeed... maybe u fix it removing the eyes on glow and keep the face in darkness or keep the glow and light a little of the face...

though i'm not kinda like the face :D , how bout make his face more detail so it fits with the body :)

yeah the face needs to be brought outta the shadows

your whole pic is in twilight except the face which is at midnight.

I agree that the eyes are odd.

Alright, I junked the eyes and put some extra details around the nose area. Hopefully this one is better :P

Maybe I'll go over the face in a little and put in more details... but... with just my mouse, it may be iffy

I think the glowing eyes give it a bit more drama though. Without the intensity he looks like he is just holding his sword out instead of menacing with it.

I like the picture, though to me the arm with the sword looks cut off a bit. maybe just because he is holding it pretty striaght out. good job

Very nice man. As far as the face, i'd say go for a medium between the first and the second. Try and keep the eyes, but maybe not as defined and colored as the first one is. Maybe try making a soft outline of his eyes, but have them closed or looking down. Thats just my vision though ;) Awesome picture either way. :thumbsup:
