Hi,

this is an idea I had some time ago:
Building a CG-Bottleship to avoid the problems real Bottleship-maker have (and face some new ones instead :-) )

i only see some small anti-aliailialising problems, but it looks great.

hey looks very nice. im looking at the water and it doesnt look right. You may want to look at real ones some more and see if sand or somthing else might look better. (no isult you understand, i like the texture i dont think it fits though)

im a little distracted by the real picture in the frame on the right, the painting is fine though

i do agree with the anti aliasing

mabey add some bump to the cork, casue reall ones have so much. and some DOF could be fun in this immage

Regarding the waves, the idea behind this picture was to show a real ship in a real (stormy) ocean that is inside a bottle. Something that looks real although it can not be, just like the final scene in MIB II (living in a box), if someone remembers.

Nevertheless, the waves still need some tweaks although I'm quite satisfied with them for I thought them harder to create. For the cork, I'm still looking for a good texture.

DOF might indeed be a good idea. What I definitely want to add are some caustics on the desk, when I've got the right settings...

here is a modified version with:

- a new cork texture (also still not the "cork of my dreams")
- some tweaks on the ship and the water
- modified lighting
- and some caustics

do you have any references for model? i wanna do ship model for my self but could'n find any usefull references. maybe you can help me?
