View Full Version : background image problem
Katzenminze 07-07-2007, 10:28 PM Hi, I recently (today^^) got "building a digital human" by ken brilliant.looks quit promissing so I decided to start following his tutorial on building a human being.
I set up the reference pictures from the book's CD-Rom! one for the front view and one for the side view.
both of them are approx. 1800pixels high an differ only in the width value!
here is my problem:
When I load up the side image everything looks fine but when i load the front image it kinda gets scaled down so it doesnt lign up with the side view image?!
very strange^^ maybe you know how to fix that? Is there a way to scale the image up?
plese help my :) im desperate ;)
look at my screenshot if i didnt explain it well enough!
cheers!

Hi there!
The background image box has a scale size but it does it uniformly - I have always had best results making all pics the same width and height - saves messing about too much :)

You sure it's not Z? If the view is set to Solid then it will toggle between wireframe and solid - all the polys will be transparent then.....?

yeah, im sure, because in wireframe the polygons will be transparent so I cant really see my mesh and if there are any problems with it but in this semi-transparent mode i can see both, the underlaying image and the mesh itself!

You can try pressing F7, under the Draw panel, activate "Transp" button.
You'll then need to give your object a material and lower it's alpha slider in the F5 material menus.
