View Full Version : face study - getting the 3D symmetry in 2D

Hi everybody!
This is a study I did to practice in doing 2D drawings of subjects (faces) which are symmetrical in space, without references... I didn't care about the final aspect of this guy, I just wanted it to be a belivable drawing of a face.
It's a perspective and anatomy excercise... it's like drawing a car or a spaceship in perspective.

Critics and suggestions?

Hi - looks really good! - feels solid and good geometric planes of the face - nice asymmetry!
critique - more attention to your ref for the ear and bottom of the nose
and from an asthetic pov - keep the eyes sharp as they are a point of focus

suggestion - do more of these - id love to see your progress after you have done 20 of these! - they would be amazing!
