enzodiac 03-23-2003, 03:45 PM Hi
I have a really annoying problem. I cant change the weight for vertices in the skin modifier. What ever i choose it is at 1.0
So that my model deforms ugly.
What can i do ?

You should be able to select vertices by turning on vertex in the filter area, going to vertex subobject mode and then setting a value by typing it in.... Or if you have r5 use the weight table tool.

are you saying your vertice weight will be just 0 or 1?
well, in that case, that's because that vertice's weight is assigned to one bone.
try to assign the weight to more than one bone.

Happened to me not too long ago. Turned out to be an unruly envelope and Normalize being turned on.

thanks guys. I think it has to be with the one or two bones to do.
As i had the problems in the end of 1 bone.
I will try building up the whole skeleton to begin with.
Thanks again !
