the models for this image were made with wings 3d, later imported into zbrush to work the displacement map and color map and once that was finished the final rendering was done in maya with mental ray, of course some adjustments were done after in photoshop CS. The idea is for a puppet like character mixed in with the day of the dead and a little surreal feeling.

Maria.. good job, your style is intersting~>.. This is my 1st time seein some one from my country do any MAYA work.... I was born in Costa Rica, but have lived in the United States since I was like 2 years old.. I am now 23....

Very interesting style María. I would try to improve a little the shadows and the ambient, I think it needs some more dramatic feeling, specially with the shadows, and maybe with some fog. Anyway very nice image María, congrats and keep on!
