View Full Version : Noob's finished/semi-finished proyects
racoon200 07-07-2007, 03:19 AM Hi newcomers to BLENDER!
First of all, that statement above will make you think iam not a noob, but let me contradict you.
I just wanted to monitor and gather screenshots of noob's (specifically noobs that have being using blender since 1-2 weeks, if you have being longer time, it doesn't matter)
So...feel welcome to post your model's screenshots here
(if you don't know how to host images, just go to imageshack (http://www.imageshack.us/) and browse your image...
Use the "direct link" url.

OK I'll bite ;)
Been using Blender for a few weeks...and used it with version 2.42 a while back for a few weeks - feel I'm making better progress this time!
Here's my first steps at modelling a VDub - not perfect by any means but is proving to be a great learning tool :)
Trying to clean up the mesh and tweak - time just seems to disappear when doing this! :)
Always value any comments and sugestions anyone has.....good or bad

Thanks fktt!!
By no means perfect.....I thought about the doors - not sure why I never :/
Maybe I'll make a Dukes of Hazard style car with welded up doors ;)
I find that a certain amount of artistic license is needed as the blueprints I'm using don't match up perfectly.....
Probably a lot of cuts on the mesh that are considered bad - few tris etc - as I get more confident I find I'm going back and trying to make changes - all good fun :)
Maybe I'll make a Dukes of Hazard style car with welded up doors ;)
haha, i thought you might say that :D
and on a static object such as that car some tris wont hurt ;)

As you fellas may have expirienced, oince you create a thread you have to wait x time untill it appears in the forum. Thus shall be the reason why I didn't post my work.
Ok, Ill give a bite too.

That's the front, using a drawn guide

And that's the Blender:Render image.
WHAT WOULD YOU RECOMMEND ME TO DO NOW? I DON'T KNOW!
As you can see, Its quite not finished...
This is my first well guided project (previously, my ignorance led me to build a character VERTEX by VERTEX, making me to hate 3d things, but later on I was encouraged by the scultping technology of cLAYtOOLS.
I used this site to learn how to make a character, I think the tutorials are more than exellent.
look for the "character tutorials" located lower than the middle of the page. HERE (http://www.ibiblio.org/bvidtute/)

About the VDub or "bocho" as we call 'em here in Costa Rica, Man, its amazingly great! I would use it to make a movie or so, Its extremely good.
Finally one of my threads works...hope people keep on shearing their projects here.

And, on purpose, Does somebody know where to find a "modeling a head video tutorial" ?
That would be great...I used one on blender wiki, but It had some parts missing. I think, and ofcourse, i prefer the video ones haha

Thanks for the link fktt. Adrianna is a classic for face modeling. I used it to model my first face and it came out just fine. It's a really good tutorial to help you prove to yourself that you can actually do it. I see he's added an eye tutorial as well, I wasn't aware of that. I'll definitely be checking it out!
I think he also has a well-rated DVD available as well.
yeah, and once he gets the female body tutorial dvd ready hes going to offer em as a bundle witch will be a bit cheaper than getting them sepparately
