Hi can anybody tell how to change the resolution on my image planes that is used for modeling. See, it only shows the true resolution of the image when I render it, while I modeling it's shows only the low resolution. I've tried the one in the Display windows but it doesn't affect the image. I'm using the Joan of Arc low polygonal modeling tutorial for Max in C4D because I'm more compotent with it.

are you using a plane object? If you look at the configuration for each viewport oyu can specify a background image and then it is displayed at its actual resolution. If your using R8, there is no an option for materials to set their resolution thus when oyu apply to a a plane object you could actually increase the resolution, though its still not the true resolutions. its incriments 256/512/1024/2048 and can be quite hard on the graphics memory. Again thats only in version 8/8.1

another great alterantive is to trace your reference in a program like illustrator or even ps and export the splines into c4d...giving you infinite resolution...or at least as much detail as you are willing to put into the tracing
