i'll have to admit tho, the model is kind of freaky without a head, but the jump is awesome!
the only thing i can think of is possibly adding a run-up to the edge of the building to add a sense of momentum, so that it makes sense that she makes it across a gap that large.
love the way you animated it, and the landing is really nice

i think the jump is a lil unbelievable... he/she is jumping a bit too far .. the anticipation before she jumps could be better,to make the whole jump believable. :p not bad tho.
and yeah.. it is creepy without a head. why'd you do that to her!?
The animate good enough.....just the part before he/she?! hold the gate......if add a bit like lack down effect will it look good ?! :p

hey thanks for the comments,
I did this just to see how a flip like this could be done mechaniically to test my rig - so the model has no head (I always do my heads as separate objects)
its definitely not a believable jump - after I did it I thought about how if you did a flip like that you wouldnt slip when you landed..... I did have a run up but that wasnt as interesting so i left it out. well now Ive got a horse anim Im working on Ill post sooon....
and no one mentioned the slipping fingers on the ladder

There are two big problems that I see with this shot as it is now, and both have to do with the landing on the ladder. The first is that there's no weight as the body hits. If you scrub through, you'll see that the torso doesn't compress towards the ladder as she hits.. it stops in mid air and the hips rotate towards the ladder. For someone traveling this far and this fast, there's no way the arms will be able to stop the forward momentum that quickly.. it's just impossible. The jump would read much better if the torso came forward and hit the ladder and bounced back and then down (as you've got it) and then she started pulling herself up again.
The other problem is that the foot slips a bit too late and you don't read it in the body. If the foot is going to slip due to the large jump, do it right after the landing, OR after she's already started moving up.. also, you need to read the slip in the body. Try slipping on a ladder.. you'll see that the body reacts to the foot.. the person will freak out that the foot is slipping, arch the back, reach for a stronger hand hold and try and stop from falling.
Also, for a more interesting camera move, you should try and act as if you're a live action camera guy.. let the jump "startle" you a bit, so she jumps and you move up to follow it, but she's leading the frame. Then when she hits, you can go past the stop point for a bit and then settle back. It'll make it seem more lively.
The timing on the flip is very nice, tho.. try separating the legs a little bit on the release so one leg is a bit in front of the other.. probably her left leg to keep the body open towards camera more.
keep goin on it! :)
