Hi all! This is my first sketch. Quite difficult to see what's happening from this one :) Well, it's a little young monster walking in the low water of a beach keeping a balloon in its hand with a big dog jumping on and licking him all over the neck...

working on it... trying to find the color palette...trying to see where I'm going...

Here I'm studying the light, some fast sketches so I can choose a position for the sun. I think I'll go for the "C"...if I'm going to paint a monster maybe with this kind of light it will look even more weird.

something more...

not sure what's going on there, but i am sure the lack of story will be tended to as well as all the other things.

good luck!

Thank you Slav. Yeah I hope so...actually there's no story, only some kind of devilish creature just having fun in the water with a violet balloon and a big schnauzer dog junping on making him loose balance on his feet. I hope this is strange and weird enough :-P

here's another step...I'm doing this like a wip, a little bit each day...

another little bit. An apple a day keeps the doctor away...

Hi Agostino,
Sorry on catching up so late on your thread, I love the idea, and love the size of the dog, the features of the monster are great, and the compositions look fine...
maybe I will suggest lowering the camera more so you can drill the emphasis of the splash a bit more fun and see also a bit more of their faces, in an overwhelming position, and the balloon idea, I like it but why not give a shape or more than one...playing a bit more with your props could sell better your characters! Great works and sketches...:arteest:

another daily couple of brush strokes...
I'm soooo slow...

Hi Agostino,:)
Me like more that camera angle. and don’t worry about time you have to enjoy every brush until you are sick of it hahaha...I like that purple balloon I like purple ...seems that your colors, could need more casting lights from the sun and the water so you have more points of interest in your characters? But so far that's all I can suggest, and keep the good work!
