Hello All,

I'm having trouble with C4D 9.5 I'm creating a rim and start wit one single spoke. To make the rim complete I want to use the Array option and make 5 copies. A friend of my does it in 3D max and I presume that this is also possible in C4D. I want to use an array object because I want the possibility to change the first spoke which changes the whole rim. I could make different copies connect them and place them under a hypernurbs object. But this way a can't make changes. The real problem now is my array. I can't make the right copies. I've tried every kind of axis direction. I presumed that both axes had to be the same but it just doesn't work. Can someone please help me?

Thanks in advance

You need to put the Rim section under a Null and then under the Array Object.
This will allow you to rotate or modify the rim.

Basic 9.5 scene below. Check the Tube Slice & Rotation.

Thank you very much for the quick answer. It really sounded lengthy but it worked out. Very strange that you have to place it under a Null object but I'm glad you send an example. Now I can make really fat rims and see my changes realtime. Thanks!

You don't have to put it under a null, you also could rotate the object axis instead.
But it works easier if you use the null object.
