Hi there heres my latest model/scene i've been working on i fell its pretty much finshed now after lots of tweaking :)

I like it, I like it!
03-23-2003, 12:48 AM
wow, that is great. excellent modeling and textures
03-23-2003, 02:18 AM
I dunno, the textures on the ground and wall look WAY flat.
The car though looks really nice though that bright spot on the back quarterpanel looks a bit weird.
but maybe you need like displacment or something that actually changes that geomety of the ground.
nice pic very cool

 wow, nice rendering!:buttrock:
03-23-2003, 03:44 AM
everything looks nice except the rear quarter panel. its reflection is a little too blurred.
03-23-2003, 06:26 AM
The lighting on the car looks fabulous, suits the background perfectly. Very nice
03-23-2003, 07:43 AM
Looks great but I agree with kyphur, the wall and the ground look kinda flat. The car looks excellent though.

Indeed my only two complaints have pretty much already been voiced.
- The ground tile texture looks flat.
- The way the car paint catches highlights make it look like it needs a reaaaaally strong hand of wax, unlike the reflections which seem fine.
Hey man I like your car. What's the software u r using? Is it Max?I have a few questions to ask.But first I think you may want to hear the opinion. So here it is:I don't know much about rendering but I think the modeling still needs tweeking.I never saw that car before but the moment I saw the picture I think there's something wrong with the doors.I check the net and find some pictures of Audi rs6:http://www.autointell.com/News-2002/February-2002/February-2002-4/Audi-RS6-100.jpg
Pay attention to the doors.Compare to your car it's more rounded at the edge, don't you think?I think this happened because you can't see the shape of the door in the blueprints you have, right?they are invisible in the front and back views. My suggestion is that we should pay more attention on the real picture, don't model just on blueprints!
So I have my questions to ask:Do you use hdr pictures to render?
how do you do with the shaders of the glass and how do you model and texture the headlights? And anything on rendering is welcome.

Really good work!
03-23-2003, 09:29 AM
cool pic, however the model & materials need a lil' bit o' tweaking!
03-23-2003, 10:36 AM
EXCELLENT? HDRI? LIGHTWAVE? Is the BG cg?
03-23-2003, 11:50 AM
You should tweak a little the materials (car and ackground too) and the lightning (on the back of the car).
Nice modeling anyway ;)
And it's nice to see a car in a "reel" environnement not in a simple gray background :)
The car is very, very well done! :buttrock:
But I think you should have paid a little more attention to the environment.
As mentioned the ground and the wall could use some geometry. The panel (the right one) looks somehow weird with the super smooth highlight.
And, I don't know why, but I really don't like that door in the bg. Looks like plastic imo. And the edges don't catch highlights.
Anyway, the car rocks!

Woah.. impressive.. great modelling :)
03-23-2003, 12:33 PM
the background/backdrop sucks. the car is fantastic.
The car it,s really wonderfull!!!
The only thing stranger in the scene it,s the door in the wall, the textures looks too flat, but the model, textures and render of the car it,s awesome.

Nice work !
Really nice model, but I would retouch the carpaint shader. It looks like a bit too much like plastic IMO.
Great work nonetheless ! :)

Nice model, the Audi RS6 is one hot car. Unfortunately, we, stateside haven't yet had the pleasure...
Though, I DO hear that that is all about to change!
Great car, great model, great scene...
Only a few issues -- and I don't know if I'm seeing the most up-to-date image of the final render -- it seems to me that:
1. I agree that the paint material needs something... needs more of a clear-coat look. Earlier renders, like wip12.jpg, seem to have the right mix of gloss and reflectivity.
2. The grill may not be upright enough, and perhaps shouldn't dig into the bumper so much. Could just be my eyes though.
3. The sideview mirrors are chrome, aren't they?
All in all, nice work -- keep it up!
03-24-2003, 05:33 AM
Really really nice work
03-24-2003, 05:34 AM
Great Stuff, the final came out really well!

Very sweet model. I like the reflections and the smoothness of the model. There could me more reflections on the side of the car, but it is prety sweet.:buttrock:

Tis a great render/model friend ;) aside from the comments on the reflections and the use of a displacement map for the ground, I think it's a marvelous piece. Well done
