DownLoad Hdrshop create a folder in you HDRSHOP directory called plugins and place your lightgen script in there. When you launch lightgen a tab labelled "Plugins" should have yout lightgen plugin inside.

A. Convert a mirror ball HDR Image into a Panorama
Image>Panorama>Panoramic Transformations

Source "Mirror Ball"
Destination "Longtitude/Latitude" IMPORTANT!! 128*64

It will create an unwrapped version of your probe at this tiny size, you could have it bigger but it takes more time to compute, as the process is CPU intensive, the larger the image the longer it takes.

B. Launch the plugin on the resized image. Choose a place to output the file. Leave the output type to txt as the lightgen script translates the txt file into LW lighting magic.

You can have as many lights as you want but it will take longer. I like to leave it at around 10, click scale light output so that the total intensity of all your lights is equal to 100%. this is optional though, you can use LScommander or the Spreadsheet to intensify the lights in multiples etc.

Hit execute and one of 2 things will happen
1.- An error will popup, but ignore it the file was created but HDRSHOP won't give you a summary of what it did

2.-HDRSHOP will give you a summary of what it did and you won't have to worry about it.

Lauch Layout and assign the Lightgen2LW script to something. Launch the script and load the *.txt file, rename your lights and parent Null and Voila.

I like to use the lights just for illumination then use 2 to 3 other lights for Shadows. Good luck!!!

cremegg to create panoramic image of .hdri format you must do first step. The next steps is to make a set up of light with lw.
