I have a nasty problem with Maya 8.5 sp1a when I try to export mi-files from scenes with render layers.

Scene: Very simple box and sphere
Two layers + masterLayer: layer1 and layer2

If I delete alla renderlayers the file exports and renders perfectly. But with layers I get this error.

Anyone have any idea what might be the problem and solve it.

My current idea is that when you batchrender from command line with layers there is a bug where the file will be written somewhere else then all the other files for the project.

Note: This test behaves exactly like my production files. We have recreated the error three times from scratch where all the steps up until the render layer addition goes thru perfectly.
