When connecting points in an object and putting this in a hypernurbs object, the edges dont seem to connect to eachother, and i'm getting an ugly distorion.

what am I doing wrong?

(tell me if i'm being unclear, and I'll post some pics)

cheers

I had something similar before (I think) and I remember it had something to do with double points on the same position.

I don't know the correct workaround in your case, i just deleted the double points and created new polygons.

is this using the weld tool, or weld in the symmetry object?

Sounds like you need to Optimize, possibly with a radius of 0.1. Failing that, Select the offending points with "Select visible points only" turned off and Weld.

Delete the side (quad-polygon) of the cube; the side that you won't see anymore after welding. After this do the same thing you did in the animated gif.

Should solve the problem I think :D.

Btw If I'm not mistaking you can do this process directly with 'bridge'. It will mean you will have an extra edge ring, but it is easier to do.
