View Full Version : Need a solution,... animating UVs?

I've tried everything I can think of.

I am modeling a character with strange shaped eyes and I dont really want to move the eyeball itslef when he looks at tomsehing. I would rather have the texture move.

I tried animating the UVs, and that works but you can not set driven key it so I couldn't add it to the rig which doesn't appeal to me.

Then I tried reshaping a nurbssphere with a lattice, without deleting history and just moving the eyeball.

Then I made an animation of the pupil (just black dot on white) animated the black dot in after effects looking in every direction. Then was going to set driven key the frameAnimation on the texture file but that wouldn't work with set driven key either,...

anyone have a possible soultion?

mabey you could texture the eye with a
spherical projection and animate the
projection?...

Use a sphere then use a lattice to get the shape.
