hej! hej!
congratulations on making the big step and showing your art! http://10.38.22.2/forums.cgsociety.orgg/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif
I think you have a very nice idea here... and it's a very good start already. But before we'll tackle the light source (that could also be outside the frame) I have something you have to tackle first.
You certainly didn't make it easy on yourself with all the foreshortening in the arms. Unfortunately the arms look very flat and therefore the whole picture fails to actually draw you in.
So what I would suggest is to use lighting and shadows to push back the second arm and also the underarm in the front... that way the whole pose reads better and becomes more dynamic and less flat.
Hope you can do something with this and Good luck!

thank you matsman :D i tried to change a bit the arms, left one/right elbow still bothers me some tho!
been so slow lately.. but here's a small update, changed the window a bit from a suggestion, thou still needs more work, plan on fixing the curtain flow and make the skin colours more uniform since atm one looks more yellow based and other a bit more reddish i think. Also fixed the arms some and working on the hands a bit more.

Hi, Emirare !
Your pic is lovely, skintones and background colors are beautifuls !!
However, i would make a suggestion about her left hand's shadow, you should darken it, nad make it more far from the hand, because i've got the feeling that she almost touch the wall (if tou see what i mean ). Also, you should add an aother shadow behind her head too ^^
still, great work !!!
