okay here is a quick sketch from a photo as practice on anatomy. How many flaws are there? I will begin working on shadding soon.

Two that I can see are the ear and left arm. The ear looks to small to me and the left arm doesnt look finishd. I feel like I should see most of an outline of the elbow and lower arm area. When you fix those you should get very nice results. Good luck man :) with some adjusting you could have something their, I look forward to seeing more.

Ears have always been a problem for me for some reason. this was just a quick sketch to ger the basic form down, but I will definatly work on it. as far as the left arm, as you can see from the reference pic it is not defined, so I didnt put it in there. I will add it though so I can understand where it is supposed to be. Thanks for the comments, and people dont try to spare my feelings, I am a noob but I have a hard time seeing my mistakes.

If you have a photo, the easiest way to see your mistakes is to do an overlay in photoshop and flip the top layer (your drawing) on and off. You'll see things shift that aren't correct or true to the photo. (see attachment)

Looks like you need to block off the features of the face and make a centerline. Her whole face is skewed to the right. The nose gets longer and narrower. Lips are shaped differently. Neck is too thick ... etc. etc. etc.

I'd suggest drawing larger and lighter until you get the forms correct. Then you can add details with a darker pencil.

thanks kirt, can always count on you to teach me something. How did you do that in photoshop? I really dont know much about it. Last night before I added the reference, I tried to figure it out but dont know how to get them the same size.

I copied your linework onto a new layer and set it to multiply. Then used transform (CTRL + T) to resize it and position it over the photo. When that's done, set the layer back to normal and just click it on and off to compare.

I went an extra step and made an animated GIF with Image Ready just to demonstrate what it'll look like.
