CGTalk - photon emission problem

so im biulding a room scene for a pre viz for a condo, and when i apply the mia mat to the walls the photon emission seems to stall out at the last stages of calculation.

any ideas?

Make sure room is 'closed', walls are solid, you don't shoot a billion photons, and the
Mia meterial is connected to the photon slot in the shading group.
