PLWoods 06-29-2007, 10:22 PM Following on from Xtrude's suggestion of posting works in progess I thought i'd open a thread it'd be great to see what is being made with Wings and be excellent to see our part of Cg Talk rebuilt at one time I remember it being quite lively now it's like a ghost town.

Comments and feedback most welcome, although it's nearly finished i'm just working out a good pose to offset the features with, and a nice skin shader.

I think you are off to a great start here... I can see some good things going on topology wise, a bit of work on the teeth, a further tweak here and there, and yahoo, take it to next levels and chisel away...
Good to see your worx :)

and it all really started back with stuff like this...
btw, these are all still very much wip's, as we really havn't done much with em, other than learning some basics into gaining form , topology, and methodology pointers... so much to yet learn, as every piece is different than the last, and so many to yet do before we have enough for some serious fun :D
great hobby, this chunking things out with Wings3D :)

PLWoods, this is almost the same type of char that I was working on a few days back... fun :D I think the teeth could be reworked a tad, but yea, cool...
here's mine... we have been out of the loop for a bit, so have not put together proper topology in some critical areas, but... this was to be started from a sphere, in a speed thread over at subd...
still, a great exercise, and using wings just seems so natural while chunking this stuff out...

A mini sub I cooked up. I do like wings for a lot of thigns. I think wings works great with SubD type of renders. You make a base mesh and in the renderer of choice subdivide and make it look great.
