jcjimenez 03-21-2003, 06:03 PM Hi all,
This is an integration test I've made with max and vray.

maybe you could add a slight foto grain to the added objects.

yeah i thought it's a photo at first :D
djshivan, did u use only 1 omnilight for this scene and rely on HDRI only ??
could u tell us more about the light setup ??

Good work on the shadows and reflections...but your perspective is a bit off. The camera should be higher above the table. In other words your horizon line is too low. And the 3d objects are still a lot clearer then the photo. More grain and a fix to the perspective and your about done :)
Good job.
the quality of the plate photo lets it down a little. its a fraction out of focus and has alot of noise that youve not quite compensated for... but it is very nicely done indeed

Hi again!
First of all, thanks for the replies.
Yes, the original shot has very low quality. The camera wasn't calibrated properly and the photo was very dark. I had to overexpose the original one with photoshop (but the noise caused by the dark appeared too!)
The only illumination in the scene was the HDRI map (used too for the reflections and refractions of course). No omni or spot light was added apart from the hdr map.
I've tried to tweak the noise of the cg objects with a postpro software but is very hard to get that kinda low quality of the original shot.
On monday I'll make more shots with better lighting conditions and will get a good hi-res photo of the desktop (so it will be easier to integrate the cg objects with less grain).
About the horizon line you're completely right. I had no time to make it better (it was just some testing to use this effect in a tv spot we are working on now) so I put the plane and "calibrate" without references in just a couple of minutes. I'll try to make some camera matching in a better way taping the length, width and heigth of the real table on monday because I have to test the integration with a camera traveling and I'll need more precision then to make the camera tracking.
If you have more comments to improve the job, please tell me :wip:
Thx Again and please sorry my english (it's not my natal language).
