Hmmm here's my first idea. It's the relationship of beauty to surgery and how people lust over it in a greedy way. Hmmm maybe I'll do this but I want to explore other idea's.
i donno why no one commented here yet but i think its a awesome rendition, a bit too noir for the challenge but a good image none the less.

Here's a idea that's a personal fantasy. A sexy robot and a sexy zombie in love. This one has been in my mind for a while and I'd want to have a comp that's more interesting than the two just holding hands. But this one may be just wrong but I'd love to do it. Hmmm I should at least stir up a few more idea's before I commit.
Slav & theuni thanks for dropping a post on me with a opinion, there always good to hear. GL with your stuff.

Farmer Boy & Zombie Bride? I've done some quick character designs for a idea of having a farmer dig up a zombie bride. He'll be holding her over his should with one arm and the other arm will be holding her severed head kissing her. Hmmm that's a strange relationship to me. But I'm going to brain storm at least one more idea.

Here's a idea. I bad ass warrior girl with crazy futuristic organic armor and weapons in the middle of a battle who stops to save a kitten.

It's a cool idea, but there's already somebody else (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=225&t=515185) doing a 'pause-in-battle-for-sweetness' piece. That's not to say you can't do it too, but a wholly unique idea would stand out that much more. I could get behind the undead bride concept, but Tim Burton kinda beat you to that one
The idea of cosmetic surgery as strange behavior may be darker than most pieces, but it's ripe for creativity and nowhere in the rules does it say the image has to be comical.
Good luck with finding a direction, man :) Judging by your sketches, once you've settled on a concept you should do amazingly in the execution of it.

Tranchefeux - Thanks I hope I do something good for you follow
chrisbeaver - I hear ya. I'm still liking the idea of a zombie girl in love with a hot robot girl. I was planning on revising the zombie bride, and the zombie robot idea at least one more time. As or the plastic surgery obsession I'm not in the mood, but I do like it. Who knows I'm taking my time with this one since this is the most important time of development.

Well here's a revision of the Farmer Boy & Zombie bride. In short he just dug her out of the ground and here he is holding out a camera to take a self portrait of himself with his zombie girl. He'll be holding a half eaten brain in his hand.

Well here's a update to the robot/zombie idea. This one is look'n good to me. I wish there was more going on the background maybe I'll have a idea for that soon.
My gf is liking the zombie bride idea best , it may need some more work before I decide which one I'll go with.

hehe, this is just a progress update post. I'm thinking of having a beautiful zombie girl hooked via brain to brain to a partly dismanteled pleasure robot. How strange is this?
Great sketches!!! Yay! for girls and robots. ;) Though, the one of the scary woman with the head gear looking at the little critter- I think that one is great. Just has some good comedy too it.
Great stuff, looking forward to more!

Well to my surprise I was able to get some nice solid values. I used a photoshop filter (I think it's called cutt-out) and simplified my values to 5 or 6, then I used that as my value guide to paint what you see here. I'm really happy with what I got. I think now that I've got most things worked out; composition, basic design, value and lighting, I'm going to do a redraw everything to help design on the final details. This value study should really help me do that.
Well that's all off to SD Comic-Con to try and get a job.

Hi Darran,
For first, I have to say your fresh and energic sketchez are amazing! Just
My only crit is a small thing. I checked your thread for last few days. Something is disturbing me a bit. It's in the composition. U'r July 13 submission was right. It's the robo's right breast area. It was half covered by the zombiegirl's arm. Now it's not. Coz of this i feel the robo's positure too frontal. This are is a bit "boring" inside of the image. And the 90 degree bended robo arm is also create's a kinda frame inside the image. Maybe if you move the robo arm, just a bit, and paint few hairs of zombiegirl's over bot's right breast. I think it could be better. It's also could be better if zGirl's left forearm and robo's left shoulder could be separated. Now Elbow and shoulder meets in the same point. And it's messy a bit.
Hope my comment helps to do this amazing process. Am not a native english so my thoughts might be messy in english, just belive it was clear.
let me know what u think, Best luck also! I'll keeep an eye here :wavey:

Wow everybody's responses have been awesome. Thanks.
Well I've been busy but I've manged to get started on the line work. The robot girl doesn't have her body suit on it's just her endoskeleton her eye's look freaky because she doesn't have her face, it's in the box at her feet.
San Diego comic con was fun, Iron Man trailer was looking good! oops off topic. oh well. Must get back to work.

man you have an awesome drawing style, you`re sketches are already eyecandy and the idea is trashy enough to love it^^
only suggestion is that the girls don`t look connected, robogirl is looking to this side and zombiewoman to that...I think you could bring them more together at this stage
cheers, keep up the great work

AshCr24 & guterrez; thanks for the compliments on my sketch work and stuff.
"Trashy", is right! I think as I close in on finishing the details the wires and such will make more sense.
Here's a detail of a box that's on the floor. The Love Android has interchangeable parts and faces.

Ahh cool you are back, this is one of my favorite threads, and can't wait for this image to be fully created - you have a cool style about your drawings.
D,
What is the thing in the lower right corner? A laptop? Will that not make the eye go to that part of your image if something bright and glowing is there?
tAstyBITs
09-27-2007, 08:13 PM
Diabolos- Yeah it's going to be a laptop. I'm plannning on having the robot rigged to the zombie and it's being monitored by software on the laptop. Also the person who's doing this will be IM'ing his buddie's so I want to have their converson legible. What their going to talk about I don't know yet something about how sick in the head he is.., I'm still not sure excatly but I don't think people would like a person who hooks a zombie to a sex-robot. How sick is that, hehe.

Hey Darran, that is awesome, i love your style and the concept, really dark and cool !! .
The zombie girl and robot girl are superb mate!! great!! I think the laptop is much on the corner cuting a bit the composition, only a minor thing :) , but the whole composition is really nice, only a comment:) Again great work !

A future filled with fantastic machines and also some infamously fantastic pleasurable machines, in the middle of a classic zombie like infestation, a man gets a not so bright idea. A programmer figures out a way to connect the mind of a SexBot to that of a captured Zombie. Eh I guess the future isn't so great when such a dark fantasy comes to life, who knows what would happen next.
