Hi, I would like to create an animation of a Solar Sytem Formation (solar nebula model). Unfortunatly i am relativly new to using particles and dynamics so am a bit lost in how to go about it.
The basic idea is this:

Cloud of Gas (mostly H2)
Nearby Supernova shoots heavier molecule into cloud
Resulting Heavier Areas attract the lighter H2 and forms spinning disks and eventually condense into a protostar
As the protostar gathers mass it's temperature increases
This is increases until it is hot enough for nuclear fusion to begin
The sequence I would like would stem from after the supernova shockwave and would show the gas spinning into center and certain other protoplanets. It would go on to about the point in this image (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f1/Ra4-protoplanetary-disk.jpg).

Obviously, it will be sped up considerably and I realise it may not be possible.

Thanks in Advance
Zerakith

Anything is possible. Your questions are a bit too general to answer them specifically but just try and use a vortex field for the gas-cloud-forming-effect.

PerParticleAttribute Ramps will give you control over the color, i.e. will light up the sun. You really have to go through a few tutorials to get the basics going and then it will all be a matter of playing around and tweaking it. It should not be very hard technically but more of a creative matter ...

Check out this, you might get some ideas out of it - http://www.highend3d.com/maya/downloads/mel_scripts/dynamics/galaxies-mel-3039.html

Thankyou for the reply. I think i will be able to tweak from the comments about Votex Feilds. I found some tutorials relating to it.
Thanks Again
