I have a model im working on. I started the model with a cube, surprise eh, then once i roughed it out I did a Smooth Proxy because SubD's are way tooo slow on my machine. But now there are some edges I would like to delete on the smooth proxy but i get this error message.

// Error: Cannot change topology, poly mesh has allowTopologyModification attribute set to false //

Why is that and what can I do to resolve the situation.

to allow this, setAttr smoothedObjectShape.allowTopologyModification 1;
