Just thought I'd add my congratulations to Emiliano, Gianfranco, Marco and David.
The short film is even more amazing once you get to have a look 'behind the scenes'.
No wonder they had to quit their day jobs ;)
Well done to everyone involved.

The short is really amazing, don't get me wrong, but the accents and the talking in general just kill it for me. Would've been much better without any engrish and just use your home-country language or whatever.
But other than that, it's very well done.

Your work is absolutely fantastic ! Loved all of it.
Very professional.

I was surprised to see some screen shots done in XSI. While I was watching the clip I was thinking of how someone would do the effects in XSI. I thought " Wouldn't it be cool if someone did something like this in XSI" ....then I saw that it was !
BTW , What do I open this file with ? I tried the Flash Player, as well as a couple of others
with nothing but a white screen showing up.
Do you have a Quicktime version ?
One other question: I see a little bit of Bladerunner and Final Fantasy in here, but the design of the room is just like Deckards' appartment in Blade Runner, so it's my guess that you were inspired by Blade Runner .... no ?

If you're referring to the Russian/Eastern Euro accents, most of that is likely intentional. If you've read the book, it makes sense.
Truly amazing work. Just a couple very minor things stick out to me that pull me out of the experience a bit, but it's very, very close to being on par with anything seen in a theatre.
Stunning that it was done by only 4 people.

VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) is probably a safe bet.

A fine article on a wonderful piece of film-making. Of course, I'm prejudiced--but I love the ingenuity, the creativity, and best of all--the results. Only one thing lacking--a release date for the feature-length movie!

Congratulations to the whole Shift team -- an awesome job :)
You guys are an inspiration. It took real guts to quit your jobs and go out on your own. I am thrilled that our challenge was the inspiration for you to take that step... and that you were successful.
A personal thanks for your kind words about the Inspiration material. I work very hard to put together as much material as I can to help challenge entrants. It's fantastic to hear how this helps people.
I have heard that you guys have VFX shots for two films as a result -- congratulations. Lets hope that you get an opportunity to do some VFX for an EON movie in the future ;)
