All right , I'm in , just started. for starters i've created the basic setup, using curves to control the joints . I'm just controlling the joints by parent constrains & other constraints . I've just weighted the jaw but something seems wrong. The inside fleshy part of the mouth is just sticking out . Take a look atimages posted & you'll see what i mean. That's the one giving me trouble . I've got like 5 joints controlling the head --- neck , head , headtop , jaw and jawend.
The headtop and jawend joints are just nub joints , just for visualization purposes. I need to figure out a way to get the inside part of the mouth to stay back in when I pull the jaw down.
I know I'll have to use good weighting techniques ,but I'm like getting the feeling that they can be used only to a certain limit. Maybe I'll duplicate the head ,bring it into the correct shape and use blendshapes.
Anybody got any other ideas???
