wow a good start. but needs improvement on the ground and there is prespective mismatch between the castle and the hills . needs more contrast and depth.

hey ! welcome to the matte painting forum , well for your first try I see you have pretty clear the idea of visual composition, depth and mood, but yes I agree with the comment above, the perspective looks really weird and the scale of the tallest tower does not correspond to the castle , about values I see everything ok, just take care of those issues

Hi and welcome to the forums. I think this is a great start and you have done really well here. My comments for improvements would be:

Re-visit and improve the perspective of the buildings as they look to pinched at the top to me.

Maybe add a entrance to the building for realism and added interest. I know the entrance my very well be on another wal out of site, but to me it looks as if it should be visible on the wall we can see.
