great model. I have one quick question... is the texture on the shield and gun the same? If so, It looks alot like wood. Nice job though.

I love the look of 3d Lego. This don't look like a Bionical, but just random Technick Legos.
The textures are cool. They dont fit the lego style, but thats because legos are cheap. I suggest making your textures more metal looking. (You could probably leave the shield as is)

Hey, I am the noob of all noobs in 3d, I still tried one. Its like swirlling mud around with a stick while eating a carrot, and being surounded by 48.3 blue skinned money clowns, each wearing 19 of the stupid orange fluffy buttons. Its just kinda pointless.

I'd quite like to see one rendered with flat colours, similar to the way the designs are on the packaging boxes or tubes :)

Looks cool, but I agree it's not front page material.
I don't have any problems with the model itself, other then some of the edges seem too sharp, making it look low-poly while it, in fact, is not.
I find that the textures looks aimless, as if you didn't really know what to put so you threw on a map to busy it up a bit. Although the tonal changes between the pieces add a nice punch so nothing gets lost.
Remember that when texturing you're fundamentaly telling a story about the history of the character.
You obviously don't want it to look brand new, so try and think how it would age. Maybe some nicks and scratches in logical areas, and/or have it get grubbier in places it would be harder to reach. Playing with the specular and allowing the surfaces to get shinier and duller depending on how exposed it is to contact can really sell it too. There's tons of things you can do.
So I see you being half way through the texturing process. You've decided the colour and a texture for each piece, and now you need to give it history.

110k polys on a model that could have been down with less than a 1000?? Plz point out how you managed doing that...post a wireframe...
Fix textures :wip:
