...really beautiful... water colour is such a tough medium...

They do feel like they need a lighting pass though, they seem a little flat... if you darken some areas and bump up the shadows a bit more I think these would be stunning...

The composition and colour choices are really great as well...

Quality work! both are great, the one with the purple wings could use some contrasty shadows overall as krusty027 suggested, it would balance the boldness of the wings.
