wow! Nice textural quality. Great lighting, very moody. I'm a big fan of not what isn't seen/lit. Are the vines supposed to be apart of the staute? Or actual vines growing on the statue? I think this is a little unclear.
Nice style!
Is this xsi? What's the story behind the character?

i like it.
good modeling, but the image is perhaps too much "flat"
try to reduce the light fog..and try to dark the backround.
its just an opinion :)
really good work.

Nice image. reminds me of the the LOTR's, Lady of wood's water mirror. I would say that the image appears very flat to me.

Great Atmosphere! It looks like a 2d Image but nevertheless eye-catching!!This could be part of an illustration series.
You got more similar stuff?

Thanks everyone for the feedbacks! :bounce:
Zoetrope: The Statue is meant to be over grown by vines, there should be more vines on the upper body but I ran out of time. It is done with XSI. Im still working on the story, but if you are still interested, my demo reel will be done in 5 weeks.
visionmaster: I will make another pass on the lighting for sure.
davids: I had some in there, I guess it should have more huh?
ceql: ha! That is excatly what I had in mind.
KWAK: No, I plan to make some changes. :)
amos_child: hmm, how I setup the scene? Do you mean the wireframe?
Guro: Your drawings are amazing!
Awesome!Fantastic!

I love the feel of your render. It's looking very nice. I tend to agree that it's looking a bit flat. It is giving it a cool style, if that is what you are going for. If not, I think that it may be because of a couple of reasons. For one, I think that your highlights are a bit too intense on the statue. And I also think that you could benefit from some darker shadows under the arms. I also think that you could use some more moss, and more green in the vines, it would make them seem more like vines. Finally, I think that your textures on the statue could use a bit more cracks and imperfections. You have a few large cracks, but not many small ones. Just a thought. I really like how it's turning out though. Who knew a girl at VFS could do so well ;) Just kidding. Well done.

I love this peice, the amount of detail is amazing. Excellent modeling skills. THe online critique I have is the render, it looks grainy. ANd also your bump mapping stands out a bit too much, turn doen the bump values on the vines and possibly some other textures. But thats just what I'd do, like I said this is an excellent peice.
