Still hot from rendering!!! We finished yesterday. The Trailer for the Fantasy Film Festival 2007 in Germany was produced by Magna Mana Production GmbH. Stop-Motion combined with CGI Backgrounds. All puppets are handmade and took many weeks of hard work by our Stop-Motion Team from Weirdoughmation.

There will be no complete movie with these puppets, etc. All elements were produced for this trailer only.

The Backgrounds and additional props as well as one of the characters where created in 3D usind 3D Studio Max 8 and Zbrush. Rendering was done in VRay. in most cases additional detail was added in compositing and painted into the background plate with Photoshop. Compositing was done in Eyeon Fusion5.1 and mask cleanup as well as last minute effects were done in Mirage. All in all painstaking work done in too little time...as usual :-)

The puppets were shot in front of green and bluescreen panels - i will add some plates and more background-information later !

So, here is our trailer in 1280*720 small HD resolution as quicktime or windowsMedia9 HD.

Wow that was great. It may have been hard work, but it's sure worth it. 5 stars!

I don't know about anybody else but for me the download links are not working. I've tried both right-clicking to Save As and just left-clicking to open in the browser, neither are coming up...

Yeah links work now. Really wonderful video ^_^ The combination of the CG and stop motion elements is pretty much flawless. Brilliantly executed. Great work! Love the high-res video quality as well.

Very very very very nice.
(For precision's sake the MOV file is "only" 1024x576...)

Hey NoFatClips, thanks for that hint ! I dont know, how it could happen, but you were right. It was only 1024. We fixed that, so the clip now has 1280*720 and is about 60mb.

We have another goodie for you ! Here is our Layout-Cut we produced shortly after the story-board has been finished

Have fun !

Thanks Thomaskl!
I'll write a post about your work in the next days.

> I dont know, how it could happen

Encoding a couple of clips a day, it happens to me all the time to get something wrong: forget to fix the aspect ratio, forget to ensure Quicktime compatibility, forget to decomb NTSC clips... ^^
